I sing with AUCS (www.aucs.org.au), and have just (Feburary 2006 at time of this update) started singing lessons again after a break of two years. I'm working towards knowing the role of Mendelssohn's Elijah and just generally turning my voice from average into super-nice.
For work, most mornings I cruise in to Synect Online Solutions in North Adelaide where I create software. Frequently I wish there was a way I could express how much I love the thought of the work I do. It's incredibly creative and there's oodles of room for self-expression that non-geeks wouldn't understand. At the moment, work feels very much like an honours project for which I get paid but no credit (not that I care about that - I haven't even picked up my arts degree yet). I've spent much of the last year working on a franchise system for a hot air balloon company (yes, really :) ). It is the most overengineered system I know of. I have no deadlines and I think I've broken significant new ground in a couple of areas - certainly I don't know of anything else with these sort of features. It's accessed through a web browser meaning that it looks quite simple but that's deceptive.
You may notice me foam at the mouth about copyright and intellectual "property" issues. I started my main blog stable.cowoh.org in 2005 because I wanted to practice writing for an audience regularly on these topics and others. I don't post to my livejournal blog very often because I like to be able to write essays and don't want to be a nuisance on my friends' 'friends' pages with long or serious posts.
Looking forward to Brisbane IV 2007!
